BBA eviction battle of the beauties
WINDHOEKGORDON JOSEPH
With the end of Big Brother: The Chase in sight, things are getting heated with housemates even more suspicious about one another than ever before.
After an emotional eviction show over the weekend that saw Botswana's Chase journey coming to a halt with the eviction of Oneal, this week is expected to be anger-filled.
The eviction also marked the continuation of the curse of the couples, after Africa has shown that it is hell-bent on tearing apart every couple in the house.
A heartbroken Feza wrote her beau, Oneal, a letter while quietly shedding tears in the bedroom and she later emotionally told Beverley: “Now I have to spend my nights alone.â€
But it was back to business with the conclusion of this week's nominations on Monday evening.
Nominations this week showed that housemates aren't satisfied with just Feza's lover getting booted out and it seems they want the Tanzanian recording artist gone too.
Elikem, Cleo, Melvin and even Dillish nominated Feza.
Bimp, who judging by his ten country votes on Sunday is a clear favourite, was also put on the chopping block again.
Elikem, Dillish, and Angelo all nominated him and Bimp returned the favour by nominating Dillish.
This meant that prior to the Head of House swap, Tanzania's Feza, Ethiopia's Bimp and Zambia's Cleo were up for possible eviction.
With few housemates left in the house, Nigeria's Beverley, who is this week's Head of House, had few options to choose from when it came to her saving and replacing a housemate.
Beverley could only choose between South Africa's Angelo, fellow Nigerian Melvin, Ghanaian Elikem and our Dillish. Early predictions indicated that Beverley would not swap her lover Angelo and neither her countryman Melvin. Her fellow West African, Elikem was also an unlikely swap.
The Nigerian model ultimately stuck to her initial nomination and put Dillish on the chopping black. This means that the three ladies, who for a long time have been described as the eye candy of the show, are all up for eviction.
Feza last week had only three country votes so she is likely to be evicted. Her three countries, however, could be attributed to the fact that she was up against one of the early favourites, Bimp.
It will be interesting to see how Southern African countries vote this time around, but one thing is for certain - the battle lines have been drawn.
