The Namibia Bass Angling Association (NBAA) received a yearly sponsorship from a local bank, Bank Windhoek.

The Bank Windhoek Bass Angling National Competitions commenced in February this year with plenty of excitement in anticipation.

Locally, bass angling mainly takes place at the Von Bach Dam close to Okahandja and at Lake Oanob outside Rehoboth.

The chairman of Bass Anglers Association of Namibia, Richard Grant, expressed his excitement towards the new season.

“The sponsorship from Bank Windhoek is used to host our competitions. Without this very important sponsorship, we will not be able to stage them.

“The funds are used to develop the sport with a particular focus on woman and youth development,” Grant said of the association's priorities.
