Barthés Trophy squad named

Limba Mupetami WINDHOEKA 25-man squad has been selected for the under-20 Barthés Trophy tournament.The team will participate in the tournament in Nairobi, Kenya, from 26 June until 4 July.The tournament was initially scheduled to take place from 25 March until 4 April, but was postponed due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic. Apart from Namibia, Kenya, Senegal and Madagascar will also participate in the tournament.Trials were conducted on 20 February, which saw a group of 35 players, with five reserves, being selected. From 3 May to 8 May, a training camp was held in Windhoek to assess the players’ fitness and match readiness. Opperman picks final menTwo practice matches were played against Wanderers and Rehoboth rugby clubs.
