Bank Windhoek lobbies clients to invest

WINDHOEKSTAFF REPORTERBank Windhoek has become the latest commercial bank to add its voice to the growing choir calling for citizens to wisely use their expected tax savings at the end of this month.The bank is currently running a savings and investment campaign, informing clients of various products available to people of varying income levels, who are saving for a range of reasons.&quot;With our savings and investment campaign, we would like to make clients aware of the wide range of savings and investment solutions that Bank Windhoek offers for all income groups, enabling them to make the right financial decisions on how to save and invest any extra income they may have,&quot; Bank Windhoek Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services, Marlize Horn, said this week.The quickest and most accessible investment account offered by the bank is 'SureSave', which requires a fixed monthly saving premium via debit order, or at least N$100 per month.As for groups of people who wish to save collectively towards a common goal, Horn suggests opening a 'GroupSave' account, which allows members to deposit their money together in one account.The bank also offers a fixed deposit investment account for more serious investors, which requires that a fixed amount is deposited and kept there for a fixed period of four to 60 months, also at a fixed rate.Other options for investors not quite fitting any of these above categories, are a Call Deposit account, in which holders can deposit funds daily, and make withdrawals on demand, as well as a Notice Deposit.A Notice Deposit allows investors to choose notice periods ranging between seven and 88 days, in effect not tying up their funds for too long.
