Should I leave her?
Dear Auntie Nangy,
I want to know if it's good to stay in this relationship. I'm 28, my girlfriend is 21 and we have a baby. My girlfriend's father called me one day to tell me she used to sleep with two of her neighbours - one is a boy and one is married. I asked her about it but she says it's just rumours and that he just wants to break up our relationship. Now she says that if I leave her she will kill herself. I trusted her before and she shows me respect and I love her, plus I think her parents are on my side because they talked to her several times so she can change her ways but she won't change. What can I do to find out what the truth is in this whole story?

You say that her parents tried to get her to change her ways. What does that actually mean? Is it just something that they told you or do you have proof that these “ways” are something that she did wrong? You also say that you “think” they are on your side, but you don't seem to be sure. Even if she did do something that people might perceive as not being right, then she can still change. People make mistakes and when they realise it and they make it right they should be forgiven. You do have a child together, you love her and she treats you with respect and you trusted her. Maybe you should listen to what she says and be very careful of what other people say. I just find it strange that the people who should love her and accept her as she is, are the ones that tell bad stories about her. You need to ask yourself why this is so. Do not end up spoiling your chances with the mother of your child because of what others say or think. Listen to your heart and your head and don't do anything that you will regret later.

Will my baby be healthy?

I am 39 and HIV positive. Will my baby be healthy and HIV negative? I am so stressed about this whole thing.
