AMH hosts fun Open Drive Day

Car enthusiasts in Windhoek were treated to a special delight this past Saturday, when Associated Motor Holdings (AMH) held an Open Drive Day at their premises along Mandume Ndemufayo Avenue. Organised in collaboration with Standard Bank Namibia, AMH offered a number of specials on all its models, as well as test drive opportunities for new models such as Kia’s Cerato Koup and the Sportage. AMH houses brands including Kia, Hyundai, Tata, Renault, Chery and Daihatsu. “It was truly one of the best events we’ve held yet,” Kia Sales Manager JF Van Eeden said this week. He cited good media exposure ahead of the event and the presence of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), who conducted outside broadcasts from the venue throughout the day, as contributing factors. “We usually try to host something like this every year to two years, but this was I would say the most intense yet,” he said. Besides a jumping castle and catering to welcome visitors, the company’s collaboration with Standard Bank resulted in a number of special offers, including a payment special of prime minus 1%, and 60-month payment options. “In all, the day resulted in at least 15 applications (for vehicle sales), nine of which were for Kia alone,” Van Eeden said. “From AMH’s side, we would just like to sincerely thank the public for coming out and enjoying the day with us. Without them it would not have been possible.” “We will certainly have more such events in the future, and they can be assured that we will keep pushing for bigger and better,” he said.
