Adidas teams up with Active Kidz Shanghai

The members of Adidas set up a soccer clinic outside global harbor mall (one of the biggest in Shanghai) and had children from an age range of 2 to 15 years old. They also got to some coaches and footballers to support and show the children few football tricks.
AKS was established to provide health development programs for children to improve their physical and mental health. Sport is the main vehicle for these health programs. The benefits of organized sports is well known to improve children’s minds so that they can do better in school as well as live longer healthier lives. This is good for the children and their future as well as society.
Active Kidz Shanghai (AKS) provides coaching for children in various sports like basketball, football, baseball, volleyball and ice hockey. Some parents signed up their children to be part of the organisation.
Adidas was promoting football in China; they used this particular time as a platform since the World Cup is fast approaching.
AKS offers programs mainly in the area of team sports such as soccer, basketball, ice hockey, volleyball and baseball. Team sports provide two opportunities for children’s development. Physical health development for children and parents learn the benefits of good health and movement at an early stage. Children learn resilience and strengthen brain capacity through physical exercise. Doing so within the framework of team sports a child learns to work with peers within a team environment which as implications for all areas of their life and future relationships. Team sports make exercise fun because it is social.
No matter where we go in the world, sports and fitness remains the one constant throughout. Operating as a non-profit organization, AKS works in partnership with volunteers and skilled professionals in promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and sports development in a healthy and safe training environment. ActiveKidz offers you convenience of location, peace of mind, and the comfort of knowing your child is making friends, staying active, and developing skills they will use later on in life.
The event lasted for 3 days 8-10 of this month.
The games were played are below;
Dribble Like Messi(DLM) were one of the games whereby the children had to focus on learning to use multiple surfaces, most notably the extra use of the sole dribbling.
Tiki-Taka-Play(TTP) acquired the children to pass the ball to each other.
Finish Like Suarez(FLS) had to do with learners shooting the ball from various distance and angles.
