Flights diverted due to bad weather
Windhoek-bound international flights had to divert to the Walvis Bay Airport this morning due to bad weather experienced at the Hosea Kutako International Airport. Air Namibia spokesperson, Paul Nakawa confirmed this, saying that it was not only Air Namibia flights that were diverted but all Windhoek-bound international flights that flew into Hosea Kutako this morning. At present, nine different airlines use the Hosea Kutako International Airport to service their flights. Flight schedules for all the nine airlines flying into Windhoek showed that at least eight flights were affected because of the bad weather experienced at the airport.
