Q. Please share your educational background with us.

A. I completed high school at Ella Du Plessis Secondary School, obtained a higher certificate in management and I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s of business administration degree and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Q. What are your roles and responsibilities in this position?

A. I provide clients with professional financial advice regarding investments, insurance, tax, wealth management and retirement planning. This includes assessing the client's current financial situation and giving them recommendations on how to achieve their goals.

Q. Please describe how you felt when you received the news that your application for this position was successful?

A. Delighted, privileged and honoured for sure.

Q. What is your favourite thing about your job?

A. The privilege of helping people with their money, which impacts their whole life. It’s rewarding - both personally and financially - and not to forget the potential financial freedom that comes with it.

Q. What are the biggest challenges in this position?

A. Managing client expectations. While managing a client’s portfolio may be a very straightforward endeavour, managing their expectations can be much harder. A lot of clients have unrealistic expectations when it comes to investment returns and interest rates.

Q. Can you share your greatest achievements in your career?

A. Having worked in the finance and insurance industry for seven years now, I must say the experience and financial freedom is something I am most proud of. Being in an environment where my compensation is tied directly to the effort I put in has proven to be rewarding.

Q. What are some of the highlights of your career?

A. My greatest highlights are honestly in the services I deliver. Having had the greatest honour in helping a lot of people achieve their financial goals; knowing that I helped them get that dream car, that vacation they have always wanted to go on; helped paid off that debt that was draining them... But most importantly, knowing that I have helped in keeping their loved ones financially secure, even after they are no longer with us.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A. Apart from working out, snuggling on my couch with a good book and a glass of red wine, I love to socialise and meet new people.
