Albert’s 14-year rise at Print Digital Hub

For Albert Ndjahe, 14 years at Print Digital Hub at Network Media Hub (NMH) in Windhoek have been about more than simply showing up for work. Since joining the organisation on 12 August 2012, he has taken on different roles, adapted to change and continued contributing to the company’s operations as a driver.Ndjahe (41) started at Print Digital Hub as a collator in the packaging department. He was responsible for feeding and arranging newspaper sections to ensure complete newspapers were correctly assembled and ready for distribution.He said his work has taught him valuable lessons about accuracy, teamwork and meeting deadlines, qualities that have remained central to his career.“Over the years, my role and responsibilities have changed significantly. I have gained experience in different areas of the company and developed new skills along the way,” Ndjahe told Careers.Today, as a driver, his responsibilities have shifted from assembling newspapers to ensuring that the people behind the organisation’s operations get where they need to be. He safely and reliably transports employees to work, meetings and other approved destinations while supporting the company’s wider transportation needs.“I believe my role has contributed to the growth and success of the organisation through commitment, reliability and being willing to take on new responsibilities,” he said.His 14-year career has also allowed him to witness major changes within the industry. From more traditional, manual processes to increasingly digital and technology-driven operations, Ndjahe has had to continuously adapt.“When I started, many tasks were more manual and required a lot of physical effort and hands-on experience," he said. "Today, technology has improved the way we work, making processes faster, more efficient and more accurate."He credits commitment, discipline, teamwork, adaptability and a willingness to learn for helping him maintain his long service.His proudest achievement is not a particular position or milestone but the growth he has experienced along the way.“Being able to grow with the organisation and contribute in different ways over such a long period is an achievement I am truly proud of,” he said.As he looks ahead, Ndjahe hopes to continue developing his skills, take on new responsibilities and share his knowledge with younger employees.“Be willing to learn, work hard and always remain humble," he advised.
