Personally, I feel like it's not up to standard. They don't advertise it as much as they are supposed to. All people know is how much of a deserted area it is and they don't know we have beautiful scenery such as the water villas and exquisite camping sites.

Namibian tourism is a lucrative business that contributes tremendously to the income and employment of many Namibians. Although in 2020, through the lockdown, the market was down, but through life getting back to normal, it is creating more jobs.

This section of the Namibian economy is a tool for exposure to the outside world in terms of what is provided in Namibia with the display of beauty and diversity in culture.

"Safari, but make it luxurious." Namibia’s tourism offers so many different ways for many individuals to spend a great time away from their usual environments while experiencing a great way of life, whether it's for leisure, business or other purposes. Namibia specifically caters to it all. Namibian tourism allows many to spend their time on safaris that some would say are "too exotic" or "too simple" in luxurious, comfortable spaces with fair costs and great lifelong experiences.

Tourism in Namibia is important because of the money it brings into the country, and most of the money is from foreigners, who bring in foreign currency. Locals can also be tourists within our own borders, but I feel that as locals we do not make that correlation because we think only foreigners are tourists. One issue I have is how we, as locals, get priced out of places in our country, and that hinders us from seeing our beautiful country simply because we are not the market and because of how expensive everything is. It is super expensive for locals but very affordable for foreigners, and that is sad.

I think it has a great impact on the Namibian economy because it creates job opportunities for the local people. Namibia is also known as a tourist hotspot because of its good road infrastructure, potable water, and lower levels of crime than most of its neighbouring countries, which gives us a good image internationally.
