Suiderlig teams show heart at Kalahari Circuit Competition
Netball and soccer squads step up ahead of FNB Classic Clashes
The netball and soccer teams from Suiderlig Secondary School recently travelled to Tses to take part in the Kalahari Circuit Sports Competition. They competed against several schools from across the region, showing off their growing skill and strong team spirit.
Although neither team took home the top prize, both gave it their all. The soccer team reached the semi-finals, proving just how far they’ve come with hard work and determination.
The netball team, led by their passionate captain Ree-Ann Matroos, played with energy and heart. Their performance on the court earned them respect from their competitors and the crowd alike.
This tournament was an important stepping stone as both teams prepared for the much-anticipated FNB Classic Clashes. Suiderlig has been a strong force in the event for more than ten years. After a rare defeat last year, the teams are more focused than ever and eager to make a strong comeback.
Training has intensified, and the players are putting in extra effort to perform at their best. No matter what happens next, one thing is certain: the Suiderlig teams continue to carry their school’s name with pride, unity, and a fighting spirit.
