On 30 January 2025, Dr Lemmer hosted its annual Freshmen Concert - a day every Grade 8 learner eagerly awaited: their chance to step into the spotlight.The concert showcased a wide variety of dances and genres. The energy each team displayed on stage was exceptional, with talent and effort shining through every routine. Whether it was a dance, a musical number or a drama performance, the excitement had every student biting their nails in anticipation.What stood out most was the electric atmosphere created by the learners themselves. The hall was filled with excitement, laughter and thunderous applause as the audience enthusiastically cheered on their friends and classmates.Beyond the stage, the event cultivated a sense of belonging and community among the newest members of the school. The shared preparation, teamwork and collective triumph of the performances helped forge early bonds, transforming nervous newcomers into confident participants in the Dr Lemmer spirit.The Freshmen Concert is not just a tradition but a platform for new students to have fun and showcase their hidden talents, marking their official welcome into the Dr Lemmer family.
