The annual sokkie is so much more than just a dance; it’s an event bursting with energy and joy!
Hosted by the LRC, it’s a hearty welcome back for learners after the holidays, setting a cheerful tone for the school year ahead. This isn’t just any event; the sokkie inspires and uplifts everyone, helping to motivate us all for the adventures that lie in the academic year.
This year, we were treated to an even fresher vibe, thanks to the delightful decorations and fun music that got everyone in the spirit! It was particularly special to see the Grade 8s join us for the first time, stepping into high school life with excitement and warmth. Many came in with bright eyes and a few butterflies in their stomachs, but before long, they were swept up in the lively rhythm, laughter, and sparkling lights of the evening.
The dance floor transformed into a magical space where new friendships blossomed, worries faded away, and the spirit of joy was contagious.
