Jason Shoombe, a grade 11 student at Okahandja Secondary School, said "the pressure before an exam is always a lot. I personally like preparing well before time. Getting my notes ready and using the garage as my study room. I study best when there is absolute silence, which helps me focus. "
Johannes Hausiku, a grade 12 learner at Fridrich Awaseb Secondary School, said "a good study environment is very crucial. It can determine if you pass or not, because imagine having to study in a noisy place or something. You won’t focus on your work and that might lead to you not doing well."
Natangwe Lungameni, a teacher at Grootfontein Secondary School, stated that it’s very important for learners to have a place where they can focus just on studying.
Sometimes learners have a lot of duties at home, such as caring for siblings or other tasks, so creating a space where they can just sit down, concentrate and study is very important.
"Sometimes having a conducive study environment is overlooked; learners need to explore and find out what works for them when it comes to studying. After that, it is easier to create the perfect study space. This leads to learners performing well in school."
