Celebrating learners' achievements
On 26 February 2025, the Otjiwarongo Secondary School hall buzzed with excitement and anticipation as students, teachers and parents gathered for the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony. It was a day to celebrate the learners' hard work, dedication and achievements. The stage was filled with proud, smiling faces as students received their awards, each one a testament to their incredible efforts.
We were captivated by the wonderful performance from the school choir and inspired by the motivational words shared by our teachers as they presented the awards. Among the learners praised for their outstanding academic achievements were Elina Shilongo (Grade 8), Saara Josua (Grade 9), and Petrina Namiidi (Grade 10), who all excelled in their studies and topped their respective classes.
Our master of ceremonies, Mrs Jacklina Hango, delivered a heartfelt speech, reminding everyone that while winning prizes is rewarding, the most important thing is to always try our best and learn from one another along the way.
A big thank you to all the teachers and parents who supported us throughout the previous year. This day is a reminder of how amazing our school community truly is. “Let’s keep shining bright and continue making our school proud,” said our principal, Ms Rina Goldbeck.
