Each listing includes a built-in finance calculator that offers potential buyers an estimate of monthly payments.The platform caters to both private sellers and dealerships. For individuals, listing a vehicle costs N$500 for 90 days. Sellers simply upload vehicle details and images, and once verified by NamAuto, the listing goes live.For buyers, the process is equally seamless: search, select, calculate affordability and enquire. Although the platform is widely known for car listings, NamAuto deals in a broader range of vehicles, including motorbikes and trucks.“We don’t limit the definition of ‘vehicle’, and we welcome all types – even boats, once they start rolling in!” Emad Eldin joked.SimplicityUnderstanding that not all users are tech-savvy, NamAuto redesigned its website in June 2025 with simplicity in mind.“The new layout is straightforward. From the moment you land on the page, you’re guided by a large search bar. It’s intuitive, and listing a vehicle is as easy as filling out a basic form,” she assured.One of NamAuto’s strongest selling points is its commitment to verification and fraud prevention. Every seller must submit documentation to prove ownership before their vehicle is published.“We vet each listing to ensure authenticity and stay in regular contact with both buyers and sellers. We’re based in Namibia, not overseas, so we’re always available for support and consultations,” Emad Eldin added.NamAuto has noticed a shift in consumer behaviour from brand-focused shopping to budget-based searches.“People aren’t always looking for a Toyota or Kia anymore. They’re searching within a price range – say N$200 000 to N$300 000 – and then picking the best value,” she said.For first-time buyers, her advice is clear: start with the finance calculator, get pre-approved by a bank, and know your budget before entering the market.“That way, you’re shopping smart, not emotionally,” she said.NamAuto is not resting on its success. The next frontier for the platform includes AI integration, such as chatbot support to provide real-time answers and personalised recommendations.“If you don’t grow with technology, it will outgrow you,” Emad Eldin noted.With a growing user base and new digital upgrades, NamAuto continues to build trust in Namibia’s online automotive marketplace.“We’re proud of the feedback we’ve received.
