NUST to confer Honorary Doctorate upon Bernhard Zaaruka

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) will confer an honorary doctorate upon Bernhard Zaaruka at the October Graduation Ceremony on Friday, 10 October 2025.Zaaruka, a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, is celebrated for his transformative role in Namibia’s business landscape and his far-reaching contributions to national development —achievements that will be recognised through the conferment of a Doctor of Philosophy in Entrepreneurship (Honoris Causa).Rising from humble beginnings in Windhoek’s Old Location, Zaaruka built a portfolio of multimillion-dollar enterprises that have created jobs, advanced infrastructure, and reshaped communities, particularly in northern Namibia.A pioneer in construction and real estate, Zaaruka has consistently demonstrated vision and resilience.
