Namibia guzzles more fuel
Namibia consumed 304.2 million litres of fuel in the past quarter, 13.6% more than the same three months last year. According to the Bank of Namibia (BoN), the rise was reflected in the increased consumption of both diesel and petrol by 14.9% and 10.5%, respectively. The rise in the fuel consumption partly suggests the uptick in the economic activities for both industries and households, the central bank said. Quarter-on-quarter, the total fuel consumption increased by 8.8% during the past quarter.
