MTC Namibia has pledged N$110,000 to sponsor the 9th edition of the ICT Summit, reaffirming the telecommunications company's support for digital transformation and technology development in Namibia.

The summit, themed "Harnessing ICT for Inclusive Growth, Digital Pathways to Reduce Unemployment and Eradicate Poverty", will be held in the Oshana Region and serves as a platform for industry leaders, policymakers, innovators and entrepreneurs to engage on issues shaping the future of information and communication technology in the country.

MTC's Corporate Communications Practitioner, Erasmus Nekundi, said supporting the summit aligned with the company's vision of empowering communities through technology and contributing to Namibia's digital economy agenda.

"As a player in the industry, it is crucial for us to invest in initiatives that promote innovation, digital inclusion, and knowledge sharing within the ICT sector," Nekundi said.

He added that MTC would continue to drive collaboration and meaningful partnerships within the technology sector.

"As Namibia continues to embrace digital transformation, MTC remains steadfast in championing initiatives that foster innovation, skills development, and sustainable technological growth," he said.
