Mobile debut powers Paratus’ revenue growth

Ogone TlhageParatus Namibia Holdings has reported revenue of N$651.8 million for the year ended 30 June 2025, up from N$568.9 million the previous year, as it prepares for growth following the launch of its new mobile network.The group achieved an operating profit of N$66.1 million and a net profit of N$26 million, while its market capitalisation stood at N$1.24 billion at year-end.Recurring revenue increased by 15% to N$584.4 million, with the newly launched mobile business contributing N$12.8 million. Non-recurring revenue, mainly from local area network installations and telecom equipment sales, rose to N$81.3 million, up 62.6% from the prior year.The company said the launch of its mobile business on 2 September 2025 has already shown strong momentum. In the two weeks following the launch, Paratus signed up more than double the number of new customers compared to any previous month in its history.“This growth encompasses both our mobile and traditional business customer segments, highlighting the venture’s broad appeal and impact,” Paratus said.To sustain growth, the board decided to suspend dividend payments, opting instead to reinvest in infrastructure, including a N$381 million allocation to mobile network equipment, site builds and its digital software stack.“The board is confident that the investment in the mobile project and the state-of-the-art digital software stack bodes well for revenue growth in both the newly launched mobile business and our traditional services,” the group said.
