South African entrepreneur Sibusiso Leope, better known as DJ Sbu, and Sheldon Tatchell, founder and chief executive of the Legends Barber brand, will headline Business Summit Namibia 2026, an event aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with practical business knowledge, networking opportunities and the confidence to build sustainable enterprises.

DJ Sbu has transitioned from a career as a musician and broadcaster to founding the Mofaya Beverage Company, while Tatchell has built Legends Barber into a growing franchise across southern Africa.

The summit will take place on Saturday, 25 July, at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek. Organisers expect entrepreneurs, business executives, policymakers, financial institutions and aspiring business owners to attend a day focused on enterprise development.

Alongside keynote addresses, the programme includes networking sessions, exhibitions and panel discussions intended to help entrepreneurs navigate Namibia's evolving business environment.

The summit's founder and host, Martin P. Nankela, said the event was established to address what he believes is one of the biggest challenges facing Namibian entrepreneurs: access to information.

"One of the biggest gaps in Namibia's business ecosystem is the lack of access to information," he said.

"While there are numerous resources, funding opportunities, support programmes and business development initiatives available for SMEs, much of this information never reaches the entrepreneurs who need it most."

Nankela said the summit provides a platform for entrepreneurs to engage directly with industry experts, government representatives, financial institutions and established business leaders.

"Our goal is to bridge the information gap and empower entrepreneurs with the tools they need to start, grow and scale sustainable businesses," he said.

Other speakers include Hellen Amupolo, Executive: Business and Commercial Banking at Standard Bank Namibia; Undjee Zaire, better known as Reggie Films and founder and chief executive of rFC Creative Agency; and Hannah Nangula, founder and chief executive of Hannah Nangula Cosmetics.

Organisers say the event has been designed to encourage collaboration through exhibitions, networking sessions and practical business discussions involving entrepreneurs, investors and corporate leaders.

Nankela said organisers hope delegates leave with greater confidence to start or grow a business, the resilience to overcome challenges and an appreciation of the importance of networking and continuous learning.

Exhibitions will open at 11:00, with the main programme beginning at 15:00.

Tickets are available through Webtickets and Model Shops nationwide. General admission costs N$390, while VIP tickets are priced at N$1,200. Corporate tables seating 10 guests are available for N$20,000.

Businesses interested in exhibiting can secure stalls for N$750 for SMEs and N$4,500 for corporate exhibitors.
