Cervical cancer one of leading causes of death among women
Cervical cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Namibia. According to global cancer data (GLOBOCAN) from last year, the global 5 year survival rate of cervical cancer is approximately 66%. In high-income countries, these rates are between 70 – 90%, while Africa's average (due to exceptionally low income settings and lack of screening) ranges from 30 – 50%.
