NEO Paints Namibia, a proudly Namibian-owned company, marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 70th anniversary recently.
With a strong focus on community involvement and a vision for Namibia's development, NEO Paints Namibia has established itself as a key player in the nation's paint industry.
In an interview with Aina Raiza Kweyo from My.Na Properties, Victor Boshoff, the managing director of NEO Paints Namibia, reflected on the company's journey and outlined its aspirations for the future.

Boshoff said NEO Paints Namibia was founded by contractors who recognised the scarcity of paint supplies in the country. Seeking assistance, they enlisted the expertise of a paint chemist from Germany, who eventually helped found the company.
From its inception, NEO Paints Namibia has been dedicated to producing paints tailored to the Namibian environment and has played a significant role in painting numerous iconic buildings, roads, hospitals, and other infrastructure projects across the nation.
To commemorate its 70th anniversary, NEO Paints Namibia initiated a national promotion designed to actively engage the local community.
Boshoff highlighted the company's commitment to community projects and its desire to foster a positive and lasting impact in Namibia.
"We decided to do seven projects across the country ... something that will have a lasting impact, positively impacting our community."
The projects, carefully selected to enhance the country's environment and create a favourable impression on tourists, will be undertaken in various locations throughout Namibia.

Addressing the significance of corporate social responsibility, Boshoff underlined that NEO Paints Namibia is a small yet deeply-rooted Namibian company. He emphasised that the company's employees, families, and investors are all Namibian, making community involvement an inherent responsibility.
"For us, it is not a question of ticking the boxes of social responsibility; the Namibian people are the owners of this entity, and therefore they deserve to benefit from it," he said.
Looking ahead, Boshoff said he feels positive about Namibia's potential for remarkable development. Despite challenges faced by the construction industry, NEO Paints Namibia remains optimistic and committed to being a driving force in the nation's progress.
The company's recent investment in a factory and upgraded manufacturing capabilities exemplify its determination to actively contribute to Namibia's growth.
"We can make a positive contribution and add value to Namibia," Boshoff said.
