Carmen Forster to lead Old Mutual's corporate segment
Old Mutual is pleased to announce the appointment of Carmen Forster as the new designate nanaging director for its Corporate Segment business, effective 1 January 2026. Carmen will serve as Managing Director from 1 April 2026, succeeding Patricia Olivier, who will retire in May 2026 after a distinguished career with Old Mutual.
Forster brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. She holds an Honours degree in Economic Science, majoring in Actuarial Science and Economic Science, from the University of the Witwatersrand, and is a Fellow of both the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK) and the Actuarial Society of South Africa. Carmen is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Forster has held senior positions in actuarial, investment, and operational leadership across Namibia and South Africa. She has played a pivotal role in establishing actuarial teams, driving product innovation, and leading business transformation initiatives. Forster’s leadership extends beyond Old Mutual, having served as President of the Society of Actuaries of Namibia and Vice-Chairperson of the Namibia Insurance Association.
