Andrada advances Brandberg West

Andrada Mining says the Namibian Competition Commission (NaCC) has unconditionally approved the earn-in agreement between its subsidiary, Andrada Investments (Mauritius) Limited (AIML), and ACAM LP through its subsidiary, BWCAM Limited.The approval fulfils the final condition attached to BWCAM's initial investment in the Brandberg West polymetallic project.Chief executive Anthony Viljoen said the decision marked another step in advancing the project."The unconditional approval from the NaCC represents another important step in unlocking the potential of Brandberg West. Our partnership with BWCAM combines Andrada's Namibian operating and geological expertise with ACAM's investment capabilities to advance the project systematically."Under the agreement announced in January, BWCAM could provide up to US$51 million in staged funding for exploration and development at Brandberg West. In return, it could acquire a 49% stake in AIML.BWCAM invested an initial US$10 million in February, taking a 30% stake in AIML and subscribing for new shares in Andrada. Had NaCC approval not been granted within nine months, BWCAM would have been entitled to require Andrada to repurchase its stake.The company said geophysical surveys and reverse-circulation drilling at the historic tailings storage facility had been completed. Diamond drilling is under way and sampling has begun to test mineral extraction from waste material.Andrada said it would provide further updates as work progresses.Record tin outputIn a separate trading update for the quarter ended 31 May 2026, Andrada reported record tin production at its Uis Mine and progress at its Lithium Ridge and Brandberg West projects.Contained tin production rose 20% year-on-year to 286 tonnes, while tin concentrate production increased 16% to 473 tonnes. Plant throughput improved to 154 tonnes per hour.The company said higher production and firm tin prices were expected to support cash flow.At Lithium Ridge, Andrada completed a 16,500-metre drilling programme covering 143 holes. Results released so far include lithium intersections grading up to 3.46% Li₂O, together with significant tin and tantalum mineralisation.At Brandberg West, initial ore-sorting tests indicated that more than 90% of waste material could be rejected before processing. The company said the tests also showed significant increases in tin, tungsten and copper grades, pointing to a lower-cost development route.Andrada also announced the appointment of Jay Ashfield as UK-based Commercial Development Specialist and VSA Capital as joint corporate broker.Viljoen said the company had started the 2027 financial year strongly, supported by record tin production, continued progress at Lithium Ridge and encouraging early results from Brandberg West.
