Alexforbes takes Save Squad to schools

Alexforbes Namibia has published Save Squad, a children's fable book that introduces young readers to the principles of saving and financial responsibility through storytelling.

The initiative forms part of the company's ongoing corporate social investment (CSI) programme aimed at building financial literacy from an early age.

Save Squad has been officially registered with the National Library of Namibia and assigned an International Standard Book Number (ISBN), formally recognising it as a published Namibian children's title.

Alexforbes Namibia donated copies of the book to the National Library as part of the registration process, ensuring the publication is preserved and accessible as part of the country's literary record.

Beyond the National Library donation, the book is being distributed to primary schools across Namibia, allowing learners to engage with age-appropriate lessons on money management, saving habits and financial decision-making through relatable characters and storylines.

"Financial literacy is a life skill, and the earlier children are introduced to it, the more naturally it becomes part of how they think about money as adults," said Stéfan du Preez, managing director of Alexforbes Namibia Holdings.

"Save Squad allows us to bring that conversation into the classroom in a way that is fun, accessible and memorable for young learners."

The school donation programme is continuing, with Alexforbes Namibia planning to distribute additional copies of Save Squad to primary schools in the coming months as part of its broader CSI strategy focused on education and financial inclusion.
