Woman busted with illegal fuel

A 34-year-old woman was arrested in Emono village, Oshana Region, last week for being in possession of over 1000 litres of fuel without a permit.
According to the police, the arrest took place last Friday at around 11:40.
Officers discovered 1 025 litres of fuel stored in 41 containers, along with 64 empty 25-litre containers.
Additionally, police seized N$6 098.80 in cash, believed to be proceeds from illegal fuel sales. The total value of the confiscated items is estimated at N$22 068.25.
Due to mitigating factors and personal circumstances, the suspect was granted police bail of N$3 000. She was set to appear before the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court earlier this week.
