Cuban ambassador to Namibia, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, spoke at a press conference in Windhoek this morning, presenting an official report on the devastating impact of the American blockade and sanctions on the people of the island nation.


He thanked the Namibian people for a consignment of donated medical supplies to be shipped in the coming days, which will help alleviate the failing health sector there for two to three months after the expected arrival in about a month and a half. He also draws attention to the upcoming UN General Assembly vote on Cuba's repeated resolution to have the American naval, energy and economic blockade lifted.
