Sip and Connect Namibia uplifts, inspires
Close to 100 people gathered in Ongwediva on Saturday for the Sip and Connect Namibia event, an afternoon dedicated to connection, inspiration and personal upliftment.
Held at Pupkewitz Volkswagen Ongwediva, the event attracted individuals from northern Namibia seeking personal development insights.
The initiative, founded three years ago by Kathrin Amadhila, aims to unite professionals on a journey of community empowerment through meaningful dialogue and networking.
This year’s edition brought together seasoned experts from the fields of business, marketing, law, insurance and medicine, who shared knowledge and experiences with the local community. Speakers included Gerome Schmidt, Dr Linda Nangombe, Isai Shigwedha, Lisa Hoveka, Charmaine Tjihero, and Shawapala Kandjabanga under the theme ‘Yes, I Can Also Do It’.
Uplifting dialogue
Schmidt presented a talk titled 'Father to Father: Raising the Next Generation with Vision, Strength and Compassion', highlighting the critical role of fathers.
Nangombe followed with 'Whole, Well and Thriving: Prioritising Health in Every Season', focusing on holistic well-being.
Hoveka introduced the audience to PPS Insurance Namibia’s suite of products, including life cover, disability benefits and critical illness protection.
Shigwedha, principal dealer at Pupkewitz Volkswagen Ongwediva, inspired attendees with 'God in Business: Leading with Faith and Empowering Others'.
Tjihero, a legal practitioner, emphasised the importance of estate planning in her talk, 'Why Every Family and Business Needs a Will'.
Kandjabanga concluded the dialogue with 'The Disciplined Man: Healing, Identity and Living with Intention'.
Connections
An interactive audience Q&A session also took place, with panellists responding to questions from the audience.
Entertainment included a comedic performance by Jar Jar, whose “guerryology” act had the crowd in stitches, and poet Ella Kamati, who captivated the audience with two powerful spoken word pieces. The event concluded with a networking session around vendor stalls resembling a mini expo.
Sponsors Pupkewitz Volkswagen Ongwediva, Freshco, Tulip, Iyaloo’s Creations, Biazo Bakery, Tuno Foods, Bakes & Bites, Busy Kids Private School and Vin Par Essie supported the event.
Tuyeimo Haidula served as the event’s master of ceremonies.
