SHORT NEWS - Transgender woman murder case postponed to February
Two men accused of murdering 30-year-old transgender woman Christof “Sexy Charmy” Fredericks back in May 2024, made their first appearance yesterday in the Windhoek High Court.
Mervin Beukes (20) and Elias Namwandi Nandomba (21) are charged with murder, rape, violating a dead body, and defeating the course of justice. Legal aid lawyer Mbanga Siyomunji, representing Nandomba, applied for a postponement, which Judge Johanna Prinsloo granted. The case has been postponed to 18 February. The state alleges the two acted with common purpose, stabbing Fredericks at least 61 times and mutilating the body after allegedly killing her.
