The Outapi Town Council has announced the completion of the construction of sewer and water services at a cost of N$1.6 million.
Over the weekend, Outapi mayor Selma Asino said the substantial investment testifies to council's unwavering commitment to enhance the quality of life for residents.
Designed to serve 55 erven, Asino said the completion of the initiative promises to enrich the lives of residents by providing access to vital services and fostering overall community well-being.
“This investment not only addresses immediate infrastructure needs but also sets the stage for sustainable growth and development in the years to come. The comprehensive nature of the project underscores the council's commitment to prioritising the development of the town and ensuring that essential services are readily accessible to all residents,” she said.
Asino said through infrastructure investment, the needs of the community are addressed. She said council aims to create an environment where residents can thrive and prosper.

Town council CEO Ananias Nashilongo commended the dedication and hard work of all involved, saying it demonstrates collaboration among stakeholders.
“Together, we have achieved a significant milestone that will have a lasting impact on the well-being of our residents.
