Ondangwa trade fair starts Friday
The Ondangwa Town Council has announced the 12th edition of the Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition, scheduled to take place from Friday, 27 June to Saturday, 5 July at the Ondangwa Trade and Exhibition Centre.
Under the theme 'Building Resilient Industries through Innovation and Smart Partnerships', this year’s event promises to be a landmark platform for regional economic growth, business networking and cultural celebration.
Ondangwa spokesperson Petrina Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said the official opening ceremony will be held next Tuesday and will be officiated by the urban and rural development minister Sankwasa James Sankwasa.
Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said over the years, the expo has grown into one of the most important business and investment platforms in northern Namibia.
Vibrant showcase
In 2024, it attracted over 270 exhibitors from sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, retail, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and public institutions.
“This year, the council anticipates even greater participation, demonstrating strong confidence in the event’s role as a driver of economic activity and innovation,” she said.
Beyond its economic significance, she added, the exhibition will offer cultural showcases, live entertainment and interactive displays, marking it as a key social event on the regional calendar.
Shitalangaho-Mutikisha said visitors can expect a vibrant atmosphere where tradition meets technology and where business meets community.
