Omusati Water crisis
Three villages in Omusati, including Iikokola, say they have had no water during dry seasons since 2020.
Community representative Samuel Shikesho says their water point dries up because the pump from Ogongo is too weak. About 130 households contribute N$10 each to buy water from NamWater, but it takes months to arrive.
Omusati Governor Immanuel Shikongo says he is aware of the crisis and a new pump is under construction, expected to be completed in January next year to improve water supply.
