Nandi-Ndaitwah demands action on 60-plus Angola deals

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has called for the full implementation of more than 60 bilateral agreements signed between Namibia and Angola, saying their value should be measured by the tangible benefits they deliver to citizens.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the Angola-Namibia Bi-National Commission, Nandi-Ndaitwah said the agreements provided a strong foundation for advancing shared objectives, but their success depended on effective implementation. “Our people will not be impressed by the number of agreements we signed; they want to see a positive impact in their day-to-day lives,” she said.

She stressed that the responsibility extended beyond negotiating and signing agreements to fulfilling commitments and ensuring measurable, visible results. “It is therefore important that ministers, assisted by government officials, must take charge to ensure full implementation,” she said.
