Namibian passport ranks 7th in Africa
Namibia’s passport ranks seventh among African countries in the latest Passport Reports ranking, with a Mobility Score of 79 and a global ranking of 115.
The 2026 ranking gives Namibian passport holders visa-free access to 45 destinations, while 30 offer visa-on-arrival or other simplified entry arrangements and four require an electronic travel authorisation (eTA). A visa is required in advance for 119 destinations. Passport Reports calculates its Mobility Score based on the total number of destinations accessible without a visa, with a visa on arrival or through an eTA. Where passports have the same score, the number of visa-free destinations is used as the first tie-breaker. Within Africa, Namibia is ranked behind Seychelles, Mauritius, South Africa, Botswana, Morocco and Lesotho, and ahead of Eswatini, Malawi and Kenya.
