Multimillion-dollar property up for grabs

Multimillion-dollar properties Amani Lodge and Burg’s View Boutique Hotel, owned by businessman Basil Smit, can now be won through Namibia’s first-ever online property raffle. Smit recently launched the raffle as well as an affiliate marketing programme that will allow ticket-holders to win full ownership of the two accommodation establishments.
According to him, the real estate market and the country’s tourism sector suffered a big blow due to Covid-19, and thus he came up with a creative and elaborate plan to sell the properties.
“I was looking at affiliate marketing and how it could benefit Namibia and this is the main reason behind the launch. I wanted to bring that same technology to Namibia.
“After Covid-19, property prices went down and I didn’t feel like starting the process all over again. I then decided to sell it through a raffle.”
Worth millions
Amani Lodge - a small game farm on the outskirts of Windhoek which covers just over 35 hectares, including wildlife and infrastructure worth N$17 million - will be the first prize.
The second prize is the Burg’s View Boutique Hotel, located in Windhoek and valued at N$12 million.
Affiliate marketers and individuals can join the programme for free. Only raffle ticket holders are eligible for the multimillion-dollar draw. Tickets cost N$1 500 each.
Smit encouraged Namibians to get involved by following easy steps on namibiapropertyraffle.com.
Winners will be announced on 1 December.
