Luvindao vows to punish ill-disciplined staff

Health minister Esperance Luvindao says necessary disciplinary action must be taken to ensure accountability to address ill-discipline.
Luvindao made the remarks during a courtesy call from the Public Service Commission (PSC) on Wednesday.
The minister stressed that underperformance will not be tolerated in her ministry.
“It must be clear where employees are not performing, the ministry will take the necessary measures. The ministry will no longer allow people to collect salaries merely for their own benefit. We are hired with terms of reference, and these must be clearly understood to hold people accountable,” she said.
She added that compliance with public service staff rules regarding misconduct is essential, as such behaviour undermines service delivery.
