Haipinge transferred, Indongo joins PM's Bureau
Secretary to Cabinet Emilia Mkusa has announced a reshuffle of executive leadership within the Office of the Prime Minister, effective 1 August 2025.
Tuyakula Haipinge, who currently heads the Prime Minister’s Bureau as Executive Director, will be transferred to the Department of Public Service Management in the same role for the remainder of her contract.
At the same time, Shivute Indongo has been appointed as Executive Director of the Prime Minister’s Bureau. He has served as Deputy Executive Director in the same office since 2015 and previously led General Services at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare.
“These appointments were approved by the Prime Minister on the recommendation of the Public Service Commission, in accordance with the Public Service Act,” Mkusa announced.
Indongo holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Diploma in Public Management. His term is set for two years and eight months.
“I congratulate both executives on their new roles and wish them continued success,” Mkusa said.
