Diclas donates N$30 000 to Sunshine Centre
News in short
Walvis Bay-based Diclas Waste Oil Management yesterday donated N$30 000 to the Walvis Bay Child and Family Centre - also known as the Sunshine Centre.
According to Diclas Waste Oil Management's managing director Diclas Matheus, the donation follows a visit to the centre a week ago.
"After the visit to the centre, we decide to help with their daily operations."
Erongo Region Neville Andre Itope extended a word of appreciation to the company for its generous contribution.
"It's commendable to see a company that's only five years old already ploughing back into the community because not even all the big companies are doing it," he said.
"Sometimes resources are scarce from the side of the government. Hence, we need more private sector entities to step in and assist so that at the end of the day, we are able to reach those people government is not able to reach."
