Beauty and wellness industry expo debuts in Outapi

Staff reporter
Outapi is set to be in the spotlight on 2 and 3 August, as it hosts its first-ever Beauty Business Exhibition at the O’Zodiac Star Pension Hotel. The event aims to empower emerging entrepreneurs, highlight the region’s growing beauty and wellness sector and build a stronger local economy through innovation and exposure.

The exhibition is spearheaded by CH Growth Advertising, a local marketing agency founded by industry expert Zenao Andowa, and is expected to attract over 200 attendees, 15 exhibitors and six guest speakers. The programme features interactive product displays, expert-led panel discussions and a live video cast show intended to inform, educate and inspire participants at all levels of the beauty and wellness business spectrum.

One of the event’s highlights will be a special appearance by information and communication technology minister Emma Theofelus, underscoring the national importance of the initiative.

“The goal of this exhibition is to create visibility, recognition and growth for beauty and wellness professionals in Outapi and surrounding areas,” Andowa said. “We want to empower entrepreneurs and encourage investment in the region’s talent.”

The exhibition also seeks to shift the current trend where many residents travel to Oshakati and Ongwediva for beauty services by showcasing the potential and quality already available locally.

The two-day event also includes training workshops, motivational talks and networking sessions aimed at raising service standards, encouraging collaboration and promoting the use of technology, local traditions and natural ingredients, laying the foundation for a distinctly Namibian beauty identity.

Far more than a showcase, the Beauty Business Exhibition is being hailed as a launch pad for regional transformation, putting Outapi’s beauty sector on the map and fostering long-term economic growth, especially among young women and men in the industry.

Organisers are calling on sponsors and partners to come on board, with the deadline for sponsorship confirmations set for Monday, 30 June. For sponsorships or more information, contact Andowa at 081 870 9527 or [email protected].
