BC Namibia backs Xalla’s Swiss dance showdown

Namibian streetwear brand BC Namibia has shown its support for Red Bull Dance Your Style Namibia winner Xallamo Gariseb, popularly known as Xalla, as he prepares to represent the country at the world final of the global street dance competition in Switzerland.

The brand presented Namibia's street dance competition winner with two T-shirts and a hoodie as a gesture of encouragement as he takes his talent and Namibian culture to an international audience.

For Xalla, the opportunity represents the fulfilment of a long-held ambition and a chance to showcase the cultural identity behind his dance style.

“I want people to see the soil of Namibia through my style of dance, which is amapanzola,” he said.

He explained that pantsula is part of his culture and that he hopes international audiences will connect with the creativity and energy of Namibians.

Xalla also welcomed the opportunity to promote local clothing brands abroad, highlighting the importance of gaining recognition for Namibian creativity and talent.

BC Namibia’s contribution reflects its Wear Our Own philosophy, which celebrates local identity and Namibians making their mark beyond the country’s borders.

The brand wished Xalla success as he represented Namibia on the world stage.
