ACC pledges support to Kavango West
SHORT NEWS
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) director general Paulus Noa paid a courtesy visit to the Kavango West governor’s office this week.
During the meeting, governor Verna Sinimbo stressed that corruption undermines leadership, weakens institutions and erodes public trust. She assured the team that regional leaders stand ready to work with the commission in strengthening accountability.
Noa commended Kavango West for recording few corruption cases and urged the region to maintain this track record. He said mismanagement of resources hampers development and warned that future generations would not take it lightly.
He praised Sinimbo’s principled leadership, saying incorruptible leaders leave no room for corruption to thrive.
The ACC chief further explained that the commission’s role goes beyond prosecution, as it also provides guidance on strengthening systems for good governance. He pledged continued collaboration with the governor’s office to promote transparency and ethical leadership.
