Karasburg is witnessing a wave of development projects aimed at boosting infrastructure, service delivery and opportunities for residents.As part of a nationwide initiative by the education, youth, and sports ministry, site verification for the basic constituency sport infrastructure development project is underway in the southern town.
Last week, preparations began for the construction of the new Karasburg Stadium. Groundwork is expected to start as early as next month. The facility is set to provide a modern venue for sport, youth development and community events, delivering long-awaited infrastructure for the town.

Meanwhile, construction of the Karasburg Fire Brigade is under way. The town council has thanked residents for their patience and support as the project nears completion, which is set to bolster the area’s emergency response capacity.
In addition, the Karasburg Town Council has announced the start of registration for erven, which form part of the Informal Settlement Development project. Registration took place on 20 August at the council’s head office.
