LABOUR RELATIONS: Justice and labour relations Minister Fillemon Wise Immanuel and the ministry's executive director, Nghidinua Daniel, met with staff members of the labour relations directorate on Monday to discuss the ministry’s “transformative vision for the future".
Immanuel encouraged staff to foster a culture of innovation by challenging existing norms. He also urged employees to reflect on their roles and align their efforts with the ministry’s mission to make meaningful contributions. The minister called on staff to reaffirm their commitment by delivering services rooted in integrity, honesty, and excellence.
Daniel acknowledged the solid foundation laid by his predecessors and pledged management’s support. He also appealed for greater teamwork among staff members. The executive director reiterated the ministry’s key role in employment coordination, the promotion of decent working conditions, and the fostering of sound industrial relations.
