Rape, human trafficking trial to begin in March

The trial of a pensioner and his co-accused, who are facing charges of rape and human trafficking involving an 11-year-old girl, is scheduled to begin on 4 March 2024.

Dirk von Weidts and Arrie Jors are expected to plead on each of the 15 charges they are facing. The trial is scheduled to last until 15 March 2024. Von Weidts is out on bail, while Jors remains in custody.
