Lawyer Shikongo appointed to JSC

President Hage Geingob has appointed local lawyer Elia Shikongo as a member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for a period of three years, effective 14 August, the Office of the Judiciary announced. "Mr Shikongo was nominated for appointment by the Namibia Law Association. He succeeds advocate Vicki Erenstein ya Toivo, whose term of office ended on 15 July 2023," a statement reads. It continued: "The Judicial Service Commission thanks advocate Ya Toivo for her dedicated service and at the same time congratulates Mr Shikongo on his appointment."
