Boulter trial postponed to July
British billionaire and murder accused Harvey Boulter’s (52) pre-trial hearing was postponed in the Windhoek High Court last week.
The case against him stems from an incident on 27 February 2021 when Gerhard van Wyk, Boulter’s farm manager, was shot and killed during a braai on the Brit’s farm near Kamanjab.
Boulter's attorney, Sisa Namandje, argued that the pre-trial hearing should be postponed until August. The State allegedly failed to provide copies of the police indictment and other related documentation to Boulter's legal team before his appearance.
However, Judge Hosea Angula ruled that the case would resume on 21 July. Boulter's bail has been extended and his bail conditions remain unchanged.
The High Court granted him bail of N$500 000 last year after an application failed in the Outjo Magistrate's Court.
Boulter is facing charges of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and defeating the course of justice.
