Woman hospitalised after alleged abortion

A 32-year-old woman was hospitalised on Monday after allegedly aborting her five-month pregnancy at Kahenge village in the Kavango West Region.
Namibian Police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga of Kavango West said the woman allegedly used an unidentified substance to terminate her pregnancy.
"It is further alleged that she wrapped the foetus in a plastic bag and discarded it in a rubbish bin," Muronga said.
The woman was admitted to Nkurenkuru Health Centre, where her condition was reported to be stable at the time.
