Ongwediva imaging centre pledges to strengthen regional healthcare

The newly inaugurated Medical Imaging Centre in Ongwediva aims to strengthen regional healthcare services by working closely with doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers, including the upcoming Namibian Oncology Centre.

Speaking at the inauguration this afternoon, Dr Ryan Volker of the centre said they did not see themselves as operating in isolation but wanted to become part of the community and contribute to improving healthcare.

“We want to become part of this community and to add value, drawing on the experience and expertise of our team of 13 specialist radiologists with decades of collective experience in medical imaging,” he said.

Volker said the centre intended to work alongside referring doctors and healthcare colleagues to support hospitals and healthcare services in the region, including facilities that are expected to open soon, such as the Namibian Oncology Centre.

“We want to provide patients with a service that is professional, compassionate, reliable and worthy of their trust,” he added.
